When was the last time you used one of those ‘wow’ applications featured in Google Labs? It is beyond doubt that Google Labs is one platform where developments can happen in the blink of an eye. From the listing of amazing new products to experimenting with crazy idea this is the one place where new things are happening every day while the older ones fade away into the mist of Google’s history. However, it is imperative to have an account with Google to get access to Google Labs. Once you have created an account, just log in and hit the ‘Settings’ tab. Here, you will find the ‘Labs’ section. Click it and you will be taken to the ‘Google Labs’ page that is geared to improve the efficiency of your e-mail account. By simply clicking some radio buttons, you can enable many interesting and intriguing features.
The latest tool to hit the Google Labs space is the one that allows you to turn any e-mail message into a Google Doc. You cannot miss this feature titled: Create a Document by Jeremie LE & David K. click the radio button to ‘Enable’ it and then click the ‘Save changes’ tab at the bottom of the page to confirm your selection. Once this is done, your Gmail account will reload immediately. Now, whenever you open the Gmail inbox, every e-mail message will display a link that says, ‘Create a Document’. The link appears at a prominent place, just above the sponsored advertisement column on the right. So, you can’t possibly miss it.
That’s it. Now you can convert any e-mail message into a Google Document and store it in a folder of your choice. This is definitely an excellent way to keep track of all important messages from colleagues, friends and family. E-mail messages saved in the Doc format are easier to edit you can always choose to store crucial information and delete the sections that are irrelevant. You can even download the files in PDF format and save those on your system. In fact, much can be done once an e-mail message is posted in Google Doc space. So, go ahead and get the most out of this wonderful application.
