Canon has announced a new compact camera, Canon PowerShot SX230 SH which includes 3-inch screen with a resolution of 461,000 points, a GPS, Smart Auto Scene Detection, and more. The device can come take pictures at a maximum resolution of 4000 x 3000 pixels and record bullet Full HD 1080p or 1920 x 1080 pixels at 24 frames per second or 720 or 1280 x 720 pixel video at 30 frames per second. The device has 8 white balance settings, including cars and six presets.
The Canon PowerShot SX230 HS Camera stores images and videos in SD/SDHC/SDXC/MMC memory card slots. It includes an HDMI and USB 2.0 high speed data connectivity options. Its NB-5L lithium-ion rechargeable battery provides a battery life of 210 shots. It measures 106 x 59 x 33 and weighs about 215 grams. The Canon PowerShot SX230 HS Camera will be shipped in the US market at the price tag of $350 in march 2011.
