Use Pikistrips to create personalized comic strips

Have you ever thought how cool it will be to create a comic strip, just like the ones up there on cartoon channels or showcased in the print media? And it can get a lot more interesting if you can feature friends and family in those quirky comic strips! Just point your browser to www.pikistrips.com and you will find a website that helps you create personalized ‘toon’ art and lets you add those creative tweaks that will surely tickle the funny bone. Best of all, you can use your very own photo gallery to create those personalized comic strips. Now that the cartoonist in you is fully satisfied, share the prized piece of creation with others. You can also post the comic strip on the MySpace profile page.

The Pikistrips site has been conceptualized to attract people from all age groups. You can pull out photographs from online sources or browse for good pictures stored on your system and put them up on the comic strip templates. You can also crop and frame those pictures to make your comic strip look extremely professional. Now, start adding icons, word bubble and captions to these strips. What’s more, you can add coolers to the photographs or include ‘props’ like glasses, hats and wigs to make the ‘toon’ characters look even funnier. Once you are through, submit the comic strip/s and find out how other users rate your work. You can then embed it on a message board or website, and share it via your social network.
To begin with, you will have to sign up with Pikistrips and create an account. Next, log in and choose the layout you want from 17 different styles available here. Configure the way your comic should look by tweaking the border width, border color, background color, as well as the comic strip size. Click on the first cell to edit and upload the photograph/s you want to use for your comic strip. Position it with arrow keys and add speech bubbles to the character/s. You can also add interesting and funny ‘props’ from the ‘ClipArt’ menu on the right.
If you don’t have a photograph to turn into a comic strip, click on ‘Gallery’ or the’ Search’ tab to choose pictures from the Internet and incorporate them into you r comic strip.
Once your comic strip has been created, you can e-mail it, download it or copy the HTML code and embed it on a website. So, go ahead and create an entire collection of funny comic strips featuring your friends, family members and pets! The world awaits the blast.
